People matter
We value people. We believe that people matter to God. The bible
teaches that God created people with great care, and that we are
constantly on His mind. We matter to Him. And because people—all
people—matter to God, we want them to matter to us, too!
Community matters
We value relationships. We believe the relationships are vital to
our emotional and spiritual growth as individuals. In fact, “developing
community with God and one another” could be a good summary
of what it means to come to maturity as a human being.
Spiritual Vitality matters
We value spiritual vitality. We believe that being spiritually vital
leads to richer, more fruitful life. Jesus called it “abundant
life.” You see, people are more than just physical and emotional
beings. We are spiritual beings as well. And when we allow God’s
spirit to interact meaningfully with our own, we become empowered
to fulfill His purpose for our lives.
Scriptual Integrity matters
We value scriptural integrity. We believe that these ancient scriptures
contain vital truths that are essential to living in this ever-changing
world of ours. For us, it’s our final authority on everything
from how we “do church” to how we treat others.
Relevance matters
We value relevance. We believe that God wants to connect with all
people in ways that are real and meaningful to them. Canyon Hills
started with a group of people who desired to experience and express
authentic Christianity in an environment that is exciting and meaningful
to ourselves and to our surrounding world in South Orange County.
That’s why our services feature contemporary music, creative
dramas, and practical messages.
