It all started back in February of 1996, with 8 families who had a dream to start a creative new church in South Orange County. A church that was passionate about loving God and loving people. A church to which we’d be excited to invite our friends and neighbors, knowing that they’d experience something that was real about God in a way that was creative, authentic, and made sense.

So our Sunday morning services are typically a fun, energetic, sometimes crazy place to be. The band plays driving music that jams as much as it inspires. Video clips from your favorite flicks or dramatic presentations by our talented cast add flavor to the topic of the day and make you think.

Messages from the bible apply ancient truths to the way we live here in Southern California and in a way that is engaging and makes sense. The atmosphere is relaxed and real. You can come as you are.

Meanwhile your kids will be having a blast in our excellent children’s classes for infants through fourth grade (during both Sunday services) and fifth and sixth grade (during the 11am service only). Older students will dig our groups for Jr. and Sr. High (11am service only).

But we never just wanted to be about a Sunday morning service. Our deepest desire is to experience authentic community with God and with each other. So the experience extends beyond Sundays to monthly Worship Nights (called "aScend"), our youth and kids meet midweek, and a whole host of small groups (called LIFEgroups).

And our opportunities to do life together with God continue to multiply—Sports teams, neighborhood parties, care for the poor, building homes in Mexico… it all stems from this overriding passion: to love God and love people.
